Olive Leaf Extract – Antioxidant Protection for the Bones

Factors such as hormonal changes, oxidative stress and a inadequate nutrient intake can disrupt bone metabolism. Especially in the Menopause or with as one gets older Bone density often decreases rapidly, which can compromise the stability of the skeleton. In the long term, this bone loss is associated with an increased risk of conditions such as Osteoporosis.

Pro Osteo contains olive leaf extract with 20% oleuropein, a phytochemical with antioxidant properties. Scientific studies show that olive leaf extract promotes the activity of bone-forming cells (Osteoblasts) can promote, while at the same time counteracting processes that lead to the loss of bone mass due to Osteoclasts betreffen.1

In addition, a placebo-controlled human study suggests that olive leaf extract may help regulate Osteocalcin levels is associated with—a protein that indicates increased osteoblast activity and thus plays a key role in bone mineralization. Possible effects on lipid metabolism have also been observed, which may be of particular interest to women during and after menopause.2

Optimized Calcium Absorption with OSTEUM™ and Vitamins D3 & K2

Calcium is a key building block of our bones – However, not everything we consume through food can be efficiently utilized by the body. This is where OSTEUM™ comes into play, a patented proprietary raw material with over 35% casein phosphopeptides (CPP).

CPPs are natural peptides derived from milk protein that bind calcium and make it more readily available to the body. Scientific studies suggest that CPPs may positively influence calcium absorption and be associated with bone mineralization.3,4 This can be particularly important during periods of increased bone metabolism—such as during menopause or in old age.

In addition to OSTEUM™, the Vitamins D3 and K2 a key role in calcium utilization. Vitamin D contributes to a normal Calcium Absorption and Utilization and together with Vitamin K to the Maintaining Healthy Bones in. Vitamin K also plays a role in processes that regulate calcium metabolism.
