Dietary supplements are subject to food law. For this reason, we are subject to very strict limitations on what we can tell consumers about the health benefits of our products and their ingredients. The term “consumers” here refers specifically to customers who are not members of the medical profession. For more information, see the “Legal” section on this website.
Doctors, alternative practitioners, or—for example—nutrition therapists who are familiar with and use our products can provide you with more comprehensive advice. If your therapist isn't familiar with TISSO yet, feel free to mention us to them.
With the subscription plan, you'll receive your favorite products automatically and regularly—without any hassle. When you place your order, simply select your desired minimum term (2, 4, or 7 deliveries) and the delivery interval. We'll make sure your supply is restocked on time.
- Save money long-term: You'll get a fixed discount on every order (up to 15%).
- Free Shipping: Within the EU, we always deliver your favorite products for free, in accordance with your savings plan.
- Peace of mind: Your supply of nutrients remains uninterrupted because delivery is triggered automatically.
Your discount depends on the number of agreed-upon deliveries:
- 7 orders: 15% discount
- 4 orders: 10% discount
- 2 deliveries: 5% discount (Discounts may vary slightly for a few specific products).
To ensure your routine isn't interrupted, your savings plan will automatically continue at the same low price after the agreed-upon number of deliveries (2, 4, or 7).
The best part: Once you've reached the minimum term, you can cancel your savings plan at any time. You'll continue to enjoy your discount, but you'll have maximum flexibility.
Even if you decide against a savings plan, you can still save money on individual orders: The more units of a product you buy at once, the lower the price per unit. This is ideal for stocking up or when you want to share with your family.
You can choose only one savings option: either the ongoing savings plan discount for regular deliveries or the volume discount for a one-time bulk purchase. Unfortunately, you cannot combine both discounts.
To make these deep discounts and free shipping possible, the product selection for the chosen minimum subscription term is fixed. If you'd like to try other products, you can add them at any time as a separate order.
When you set up the savings plan, you are making a binding commitment to the selected minimum term. You may cancel at any time after receiving the final agreed-upon delivery.
However, you have the right to cancel the purchase within the first 14 days after the transaction is completed.

Exceptions:
Pro Agalostrum: Size 00 (2.30 cm × 0.84 cm)
Pro Jod: Size 1 (1.94 x 0.68 cm)

We use high-quality, well-tolerated capsules made from plant-based cellulose (HPMC) or pullulan. Our capsules are free of gelatin and other animal-derived ingredients.
Yes, most (!) of our capsule products can be opened, for example, if you have trouble swallowing.
To prevent oxidation or interactions between the ingredients caused by leaving the product sitting for a long time, you should take the contents of the capsule immediately after opening it.
Still water, unsweetened herbal teas, or foods such as granola, yogurt, or applesauce are best for mixing in (do not use hot beverages or foods).
Exceptions – NOT suitable for opening:
(Product lineup as of May 2024)
- Pro Lactoferrin, Pro Immupec: The main ingredients are not acid-stable and are therefore enclosed in enteric-coated capsules. If taken directly, they would be destroyed by stomach acid.
- Pro Mucosa: Vitamins B2, B3, and biotin are primarily intended to benefit your intestinal mucosa—which is why the ingredients in Pro Mucosa are enclosed in enteric-coated capsules. Exception to the exception: If the ingredients are intended to support the stomach lining, we recommend taking the powder without the capsule.
- Pro Enzym: The protein-breaking enzymes (proteases) contained in this product do not occur naturally in the mouth and are intended to be released only in the gastrointestinal tract.
- Pro Curcumin, Pro Curcumin Forte, Pro Astaxanthin: Caution is advised when handling these products, as curcumin and astaxanthin are highly pigmented and can stain your hands and clothing.
Regardless of the exceptions mentioned, you'll find that some capsule contents don't dissolve well in food or drinks, or that their taste takes some getting used to.
Unless otherwise indicated on the packaging, please take our dietary supplements at least half an hour before a meal with about 200 ml of still water.
All TISSO products should be stored in a cool, dry place away from light.
Refrigerator — yes:
We recommend storing the following in the refrigerator at a maximum temperature of 7° C:
Pro EM san / pur / Berry
Pro Omega Ultra
Refrigerator – no:
We do not recommend storing our powdered products in the refrigerator, as condensation could affect product quality.
The NRVs (Nutritional Reference Values) in our nutrition tables are EU-wide guidelines for the daily intake of vitamins and minerals. They are intended to ensure consistent nutrition labeling and are not identical to the recommendations of the DGE. The reference amounts are based on the needs of healthy people of normal weight. Age, gender, diet, and other individual factors are not taken into account in these values.
You'll find this information on some of our vitamin-containing products. International Units (IU) are units of measurement for the active ingredient content, defined by the WHO for certain substances—such as antibiotics, insulin, and even some vitamins.
They allow for standardized dosages for preparations or compounds with varying potencies within a substance class. The ratio between International Units and molar quantity varies for each substance. The IU for vitamin D3, for example, always refers to the D3 form, cholecalciferol. 1 µg of cholecalciferol is equivalent to 40 International Units (IU) of vitamin D3.
Our product containers are made of PET (polyethylene terephthalate).
The “Pro EM san” bottles are already made from 100% recycled PET (rPET). Recycled PET is produced from collected used PET bottles, thereby conserving valuable raw materials and energy resources. We are currently in the process of switching our PET cans entirely to recycled material as well.
PET has one practical advantage above all others: It is shatter-resistant and significantly lighter than glass. That is why it is the most suitable material for bottling and transportation, and it is also popular with consumers.
Furthermore, glass isn’t automatically more environmentally friendly than PET; on the contrary, especially when it comes to shipping, single-use PET has a better environmental footprint than single-use glass. Our “Pro EM san” bottles are made from 100 percent recycled PET (rPET). Even with a recycled content of just 50 percent, rPET single-use bottles are ecologically superior to reusable glass bottles.
Although glass can be recycled almost indefinitely, its production is extremely energy-intensive (melting the raw materials at approximately 1,450–1,650 °C in natural gas-fired melting furnaces). When it comes to transportation, glass’s environmental advantage literally falls by the wayside: Its significantly higher weight, combined with the protective packaging that is unnecessary for PET, results in substantially higher fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
Glass bottles are particularly advantageous in regional returnable container systems—due to their refillability and short transport distances. However, even in this segment, recent life-cycle assessment studies now rate PET as at least equally environmentally friendly.
Unfortunately, bio-based or biodegradable plastics do not offer any real environmental benefits. PET is currently the only plastic that is effectively recycled, as there is an established and efficient disposal system in place through the “Yellow Bag” or “Yellow Bin” program. That is why we do not use bioplastics. Instead, we are currently evaluating packaging solutions made from recycled PET.
Bio-based Plastics: Not Better for the Environment
Bio-based plastics consist entirely or partially of renewable raw materials. While this releases less CO2 and conserves petroleum reserves, the extraction of these raw materials poses environmental challenges. Bio-PET is produced using ethanol derived from Brazilian sugarcane. The sugar sector in Brazil is traditionally characterized by large landholdings and monocultures, which are often located on cleared rainforest land and intensively treated with pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Added to this are long transport and processing distances. Bio-PET is chemically identical to conventional PET and is recycled in the same way via the yellow bag.
Biodegradable plastics: Currently destined for the (residual waste) trash can
Biodegradable plastics—such as disposable tableware made of polylactic acid (PLA)—break down under certain conditions, leaving behind only CO2 and water as they decompose. Currently, they pose more problems than they offer benefits because there are no dedicated recycling systems for them yet.
They must not be placed in the organic waste bin because they do not decompose completely or quickly enough and are therefore not suitable for composting. If disposed of in the yellow bag, they are usually sorted out and end up in incineration because sorting facilities do not recognize them as a separate material category. The direct route to thermal recycling is more efficient and cost-effective—which is why, unfortunately, these bioplastics belong in the general waste.
No, our PET packaging naturally complies with all food safety requirements. PET is a high-quality, food-safe plastic and, as such, must not leach any substances into the product in quantities that could pose a health risk.
Despite persistent rumors and the similar-sounding name, PET (polyethylene terephthalate) contains no phthalate plasticizers, nor does it contain bisphenol A (BPA) or other endocrine-disrupting substances. The use of such substances in PET bottles has long been banned. Moreover, plasticizers would be counterproductive for a sturdy PET bottle.
Substances that can leach from PET into the contents during prolonged storage and at high temperatures include antimony and acetaldehyde. However, the concentrations present are well below the permissible EU limits and pose no health risk. Acetaldehyde occurs naturally in many foods at significantly higher concentrations—for example, fruit juices contain more acetaldehyde than the PET bottle they are packaged in.
Due to the nature of the material used in our labels, it may appear as though "bubbles" have formed in the label—these are not air pockets, but rather a characteristic of the material itself.
The desiccant packet contains food-grade silica gel to protect against moisture. Please leave it in the can until the contents are completely used up.
