Promoting Bowel Movements Naturally

Slow digestion can have various causes. Factors such as Lack of exercise, a hectic daily routine, an unbalanced diet or Stress a role. Changes in daily routines—such as when traveling or eating at irregular times—can also affect bowel function. This often results in a irregular bowel movements or the feeling that digestion isn't working at its usual pace.

Natural bowel movement, also known as peristalsis, plays a major role in this. It ensures that the contents of the intestines are transported along. However, if this process slows down or comes to a standstill, digestion as a whole can feel sluggish.

To get the intestines moving again, it’s important to specifically support the so-called enteric nervous system, the “gut brain.” This nervous system is an independent network of nerves in the Intestine, that Digestion and Movements of the intestinal muscles controls. It is directly connected to the brain via the vagus nerve. As part of the parasympathetic nervous system, the vagus nerve supports relaxation, regeneration, and digestion.

NXT Digexin® – A Combination of Natural Ingredients for the Intestines

NXTDigexin® combines two plant-based ingredients in a balanced ratio: Okra Fruit Extract and Ashwagandha root extract. Both extracts come from plants that have been used traditionally.

Ashwagandha, also known in German as “Schlafbeere,” “Indian ginseng,” or “winter cherry,” is traditionally used in Ayurveda and is associated with inner balance. Okra is a fiber- and polyphenol-rich plant in the mallow family that has proven effective. The soluble fiber it contains supports stool volume, while polyphenols are well-known phytochemicals.

The formula is supplemented with vitamin B1, which contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system. This includes not only the parasympathetic nervous system—part of the autonomic nervous system—but also the enteric nervous system. These systems control intestinal peristalsis—that is, bowel activity—and are therefore closely linked to regular bowel movements.
